May 13, 2006

On Redeemer Day, May 13, 2006 we welcomed Kim Kessler as an affiliate.  Kim is the daughter of Diane and John Kessler and lives in Northeast Philadelphia.  Kim works in the Physical Therapy department of Holy Redeemer Hospital and St. Joseph’s Manor.  Kim received an Associates degree from Manor College and completed her undergraduate degree at Arcadia University with a B.A. in psychology.  She is currently enrolled in the Church Ministry Institute of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

Kim came to a deeper understanding of being called to religious life during her experience last summer at World Youth Day in Cologne, Germany and in the week preceeding during events that took place at the Motherhouse of the Sisters of the Holy Redeemer in Würzburg, Germany.  Kim brings with her a deep spirituality, an embodiement of the Sisters charism and mission and a deep desire to know more about her faith and to share her love of Jesus with others.

Kim will become a live-in Affiliate in Fall 2006 and is looking forward to spending time with the different communities and forming  relationships with more of the sisters.

Kim values working with the elderly, staying active by playing basketball and her volunteer work with the Young Adult ministries in Philadelphia.  Kim enjoys photography and travel, and shares a passion for model trains with her dad.

We know you will keep her in your prayers… and please continue to pray for new vocations
