Finding joy in serving the elderly.

Sr. Mary Alphonse Hamel

 Originally from Laconia, NH, Sr. Alphonse was raised in Syracuse, NY and entered the Sisters of the Holy Redeemer some 50 + years ago.  She has served in numerous leadership capacities for the Congregation and the Holy Redeemer Health System.  She was responsible for the development of Redeemer Village, safe housing in the Philadelphia suburbs for low-income seniors.  She presently works as a Dietary Aide at Holy Redeemer Hospital, St. Joseph's Manor and twice a week at Redeemer Village.  Sr. Alphonse enjoys community gatherings and is ready to travel to any of the nearby shrines- St. Katharine Drexel and St. John Nuemann.
